I have an interest in sand art because it’s a delicate art medium to come with and I like to take challenges that push my ability and increase my strength. Even it fascinates me how a single piece of sand as an object is used to create the whole artwork. As I am a VA student I have few observation skills and knowledge about this artform so it will really help me in making one. My purpose for selecting this as a CAS experience is that through this I can monitor my actions and behavior in different situations like how will I react if something goes wrong, or in a panic situation, etc. Adding on as I mentioned it helps to improve patient skills which will help me in my studies as well in a way. The main purpose is to control my thoughts so that when I am doing my full attention is on that and I don’t get distracted by my own thoughts so this CAS experience will lead me a way through that.Â

LO:7

Recognize and consider the ethics of choices and actions:

I could have used a google image or an artist’s artwork to copy which would be easier for me but it would be against my ethics of exploring myself and showing what I am. Even for this concept and planning, I wanted to do it independently because if I would have taken any help then the work and expression wouldn’t be mine which I want to connect with the audience.

Exploring and creating new things always made my adrenaline rush.
