With a keen interest in social media marketing, I was eager to gain hands-on experience in the field. Joining the CAS program provided me with a perfect opportunity to gain exposure and further my skills. Upon researching NGOs in my area, I came across Paridrishya, which has been a prominent organization in Surat for years, focusing on waste management and other related causes.<\/p>\n

After reaching out to the NGO, I discovered that they were looking to enhance their online presence and interactions. Recognizing the potential to make a meaningful contribution, I offered to handle their social media accounts as part of my service in the NGO. This was a great opportunity for me to apply my skills and knowledge while also making a positive impact in my community.<\/p>\n

\u00c2\u00a0have always wanted to explore social media handling. I thought that I could take up this opportunity and develop my skills. There were several challenges but I tried my best to overcome them and fulfill the needs of the client. Capturing photos and videos was not my cup of tea, but I took the help of my friend who likes capturing events and managed to get better at it by practicing. I was able to learn a lot of new things and even able to develop and polish the skills I knew.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00c2\u00a0LO2: <\/b>Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills in the process.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

As a student, I faced time constraints for this task. However, I was determined not to abandon an activity I enjoyed. Additionally, I sought to effectively balance my academic commitments and extracurricular interests. To address this challenge, I devised a schedule dedicated to managing my extracurricular activities. This strategic approach enabled me to maintain my priorities and consistently meet deadlines for both assignments and schoolwork\u00c2\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

LO4: <\/b>Show commitment to and perseverance in CAS experiences.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

I visited as many events as possible, so that I can understand what the NGO does so that I could show the true nature of the NGO online. I tried to meet with NGO owners and my co-workers often so that we could devise new ideas and edit new content regularly.<\/span><\/p>\n
