Taking part in the cross-country marathon for my CAS experience was like an exciting adventure. It tested my body and mind and taught me important life lessons. During this challenging journey, I discovered the importance of not giving up, being disciplined, and working as a team and supporting each other. In the paragraphs ahead, I’ll share the most memorable parts of my marathon experience and how it helped me grow as a person.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

LO1:<\/strong> Through these races, I had the chance to assess my strengths, both physically and mentally. I discovered my endurance and determination as strengths, while also realizing that I needed to work on building stamina and resilience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

LO2:<\/strong> Running longer distances in these races was a significant challenge for me, pushing me to develop new skills. I sharpened my pacing strategies, improved my running technique, and built both physical and mental endurance in the process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

LO3:<\/strong> Planning and preparing for these races requires careful coordination. I had to create a schedule, set achievable goals, and manage my participation in the various races. This experience showcased my ability to initiate and plan a CAS experience from my perspective.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

LO4:<\/strong> Completing these marathon races, particularly the demanding 5-kilometre races, demanded fixed commitment and perseverance. Overcoming weakness and mental barriers demonstrated my dedication to the CAS experience. If I had not been fit mentally then I would not have completed the race as well as the commitment was very important. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

LO5:<\/strong> Despite the perception of running as an individual sport, I trained alongside a group of fellow runners. We shared valuable tips, motivated each other, and trained collaboratively. This collaborative approach helped me understand the benefits of working together toward a common goal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

LO6:<\/strong> While the marathon may seem local, it connects to global concerns about physical fitness and well-being. My participation in the marathon reflects my engagement with the global issue of promoting a healthy lifestyle and underscores the importance of individual well-being in contributing to a healthier global community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To sum it up, my cross-country marathon experience was incredible. It showed me how setting big goals and working hard to achieve them can be really rewarding. Not only did I get physically stronger, but I also learned how to stay tough when things get tough mentally. These lessons will be useful in many areas of my life. As I move forward, I’ll always remember the fun, the struggles, and the victories from the marathon. This experience made me more determined and capable, and I’ll carry its lessons with me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
