Karma Kitchen

Kindness is a very healthy practice for every human being present. That being said, i participated in Karma Kitchen which is the volunteer driven restaurant, where the whole restaurant is occupied with lot of volunteers assigned to different categories like cooking, serving, decor, etc, where the food is served for free of cost to be able to afford by every single person. This is organized on every first Sunday of every month. By this, i aimed to improve my communication skills with all the people sitting out there by taking their orders and serving them.

The purpose for selecting this as a CAS experience was to indulge in this kindness service which not only brings joy to the volunteers but also to the customers sitting there, and by this i can improve my skill to interact and be social to the ones sitting there, and work on the attribute of working collaboratively. This issue will majorly be focusing on the SDG Goal 1: No poverty as every single person could eat the food without any bills.

I participated in the karma kitchen in the month December by taking the role of serving and taking orders from people sitting there. And i clearly developed the communication skills which i always lacked of and i had to improve it, by this opportunity of CAS, this really helped me to interact with different people and communicate with them. The whole concept of Karma Kitchen was to promote kindness and helpfulness in this generation, for which i was glad to be a part of this initiative and work collaboratively.
