My school held an educational trip to Mt. Abu . We participated in various treks , caving, and other adventurous activities throughout our stay . Being an adventurous person myself , I have already had 2 trekking experiences in past but after pandemic this was my first trekking trip . Experiencing something different other than my everyday life was exciting .
LO1 : Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth
As a lot of activities required physical and mental fitness to last through the entirety of the activity, it was quite a task to compete them. While doing them I became more aware of my limitations and areas to work upon. Due to the moody weather it was difficult to adapt during the treks and recognized my skills during caving and rock climbing .
LO2 : Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills
The challenge for me were not the activities , but the constant mental battle in my head .As I am impatient and tend to give up easily . So during treks I had to be aware about my surroundings and placing your footsteps as the rocks were not stable , as I was getting impatient and could have hurt myself due to being in a hurry  . The skills I developed was being patient and careful during the activities. As the treks were long I realize how I need to save my energy and how much mentally fit I have to be to complete these activities.
LO4 – Show perseverance and commitment in CAS experience.
I had to be very persistent and determinant as the treks were long and a challenging. Although I was able to overcome the challenges  . The majestic view from the golden chimney and the sunrise trek were picturesque and made it worthwhile. It was a commitment in a sense as I had to wake up at 6:30 in the morning everyday which required going to bed early so the change in the sleeping schedule was quite a task.
Overall , the camp was fun and adventurous. As everyday we are indulged in phones and our precious devices , so going to this  trip made me realize how effective digital detox is . The learner profile I demonstrated was of risk taker , as doing the challenging treks and activities like rock climbing and caving  there is a risk of injury but the destinations  and the sense of accomplishment more than makes up for it.Â
