Bal Mela, an extraordinary event dedicated to bringing joy and laughter to the lives of underprivileged children. Our sole mission is to create a fun-filled day for these young souls, offering them an opportunity to experience a world of excitement and happiness. At Bal Mela, we open our arms to children from government schools, and our event is brimming with a wide array of creative and lively activities. There were a lot of different activities for them to do and I was into airplane toss.
LO’s catered
2- As a participant in Bal Mela, my engagement in the airplane toss activity exemplifies LO-2. This interactive game posed challenges that required me to adapt, strategize, and learn new techniques, all while sharing in the joy and excitement with the children. Some of the challenges faced were bad quality paper for the activity and language barriers with the childern but we had to overcome those challenges and develop the necessary skills to achieve the main objective of Bal Mela which was to bring joy and laughter to the lives of underprivileged children.
5- Our team, consisting of four members, was entrusted with the responsibility of managing the airplane toss activity at Bal Mela. Collaborating on this task turned out to be a pivotal experience that enhanced our individual abilities and boosted us as a team. To efficiently manage the activity, we decided to divide our team into different departments, each with its own set of responsibilities. This team work proved to be a game-changer as it helped us stay meticulously organized.
7- We were quite conscious of the ethical issues surrounding our event as responsible organisers. First, we made sure the kids who were taking part in the activity were safe by putting safety precautions in place while we were doing the aeroplane toss.
Second, we made an effort to make sure that everyone who participated felt welcome and included, regardless of their backgrounds or skills. By focusing on poor kids and inviting students from government schools, we fostered inclusivity and addressed moral issues relating to social equality and access to opportunities.
