Due to its ability to provide a venue for amusement, friendly competition, and companionship, online gaming has grown in popularity. Battlegrounds Mobile India, also known as BGMI, has become a dominant force in the mobile gaming industry thanks to its gripping gameplay and exhilarating battle royal experience. Motivated by the widespread appeal of the game and its capacity to promote collaboration and strategic thinking, I undertook a CAS assignment to plan a BGMI competition for my classmates.
LO1: Identifying Strengths and Developing Areas for Personal Growth
I was able to pinpoint my areas of strength and improvement throughout the assignment. My ability to be organized came in handy when it came to organizing the event; from match scheduling to registration processes, every little element was well thought out. My ability to communicate was also very helpful in interacting with other students, publicizing the event, and mediating conflicts that came up throughout the competition. But I also realized that I needed to improve my leadership abilities. As the project developed, I came to see how crucial it is to take the lead and direct the group toward a single objective. I proactively solicited input from colleagues and associates, integrating their recommendations to improve the tournament’s framework and elevate the whole experience.
LO2: Overcoming Challenges and Acquiring New Skills
A BGMI tournament’s organization brought with it a number of difficulties. Getting around the complicated rules of the competition and making sure everyone was treated fairly was one of the main challenges. In order to make sure that the competition followed the strictest ethical requirements, I invested time in learning about and comprehending the rules of the game.
Organizing the event’s logistics, which included finding an appropriate location, liaising with technical support, and handling any unanticipated problems, was another obstacle. I developed my ability to adjust to unforeseen circumstances and make swift judgments when under duress, showcasing my capacity to maintain composure in a fast-paced setting.
LO3: Initiate and plan a CAS experience
My goal was to combine my love of video games with my desire to have a good influence, which led me to organize the BGMI competition. Everything about the event was painstakingly arranged by myself, including the creation of a detailed itinerary, registration processes, location selection, and equipment provision. A committed group of volunteers worked together to make the competition a success. We collaborated well, delegating tasks, encouraging one another, and swiftly resolving conflicts. This event served as a reminder of the need of cooperation and clear communication in accomplishing common objectives.
LO5: To recognize the benefits of working collaboratively and contributing to a cause.
At the end, the event was a huge success, drawing plenty of players and bringing in a sizable sum of money. As per our original plan, we sent all of the money to a nearby charitable group to help them improve impoverished areas. Giving back to society created a strong sense of fulfillment and reaffirmed the transformational potential of group action.
