CAS REFLECTION ON SUBMITTING NATION FLAG TO INDIAN OIL
Indian Oil has started a campaign called ‘Flag Collection Drive’ under which you can deposit the flag which is no longer in use at the nearest Indian Oil Petrol Pump. Let us tell you that hoisting a mutilated or dirty tricolor is not only against its dignity, but it is also a legal offense. In such a situation, you can give your tricolor by visiting any nearest petrol pump of Indian Oil. According to IndianOil, the tricolors that are in perfect condition will be preserved and those that are torn will be disposed of with respect.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
LO1: Identify your own strengths and develop areas for growth.
About this, I thought that I did a fantastic job by submitting those flags, and I can tell that if everyone participated in collecting unused or in poor condition national flags, I won’t ever feel afraid. In regards to the Indian national flag, knowing its strengths and weaknesses can help us understand and appreciate its significance, as well as identify ways to properly display and care for it. Next time there.
LO2 : Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills in the process.
Collecting unused national flags was the challenging part. The biggest issue was that after buying flags, many people dumped them the next day. Finding a flag that was unusable or in poor shape was the hardest aspect in this situation. With the help of this service, we were able to gather about 30 flags. Learning new skills can help you become more confident and self-reliant, which can lead to greater personal growth and fulfillment.
LO6 : Demonstrate engagement with issues of global significance:
Our 76th Independence Day was celebrated with full enthusiasm with “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign. However the concern is about the disposal of these flags in a dignified manner after the celebrations. As a part of CAS integration and on behalf of the DP Business Management team, we volunteered hosting a flag collection drive. Request students and teachers to bring the flags which are no longer in use and we shall collect and handover them to the business organizations who help us dispose them with due respect as a social obligation.
LO 7: Recognize and consider the ethics of choices and actions
There are various ethical questions raised by the act of presenting national flags to Indian Oil’s Flag Collection Drive. Firstly, as specified in flag requirements and rules, there is an ethical duty to display the national flag with respect . It can be demonstrated that improper flag disposal, whether from ignorance or inexperience, represents an offense of this ethical duty. In addition, flags that are incorrectly disposed of add to waste and pollution in the ecosystem, creating ethical issues about the environment.
