Playing Badminton

From a very young age I have seen my dad play badminton. I would be really proud seeing him play in nationals and winning trophies. I would always be so engrossed in the badminton matched telecasted on television. I would imagine myself playing and would always be curious to learn about the game. It would also help me improve upon my fitness and strength. I would want to participate in tournaments like khel mahakumbh, inter-school, IBSO and many such that will help me improve my fitness and also make my parents proud.

LO 1 – Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth
This experience will make me aware myself of my strengths and weakness. It will help mes me be open to improvement and growing opportunities. This will be a an experience that will help me follow my passion and talent. I will participate in various different activities/tournaments associated with the same sports. It will also help me self-evaluate my own abilities and skills.

LO 2 – Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills in the process
Learning badminton is a difficult task and a personal challenge for me as it requires proper technique. This will help me acquire new skills and abilities and also increase my expertise in this specific given sports. I will learn to develop my critical thinking skills during the unfamiliar situations and environments when I go to play various tournaments.

LO 4 – Show commitment to and perseverance in CAS experiences
In order to have great expertise in badminton, I will have to play regularly and will give active participation while playing. I will keep an assigned slot in my day schedule for the sports and alongside also manage my studies. I will be committed towards learning this sport.

This experience will help me develop the learner profile reflective. I have thoughtfully considered my own choices and experiences. This sports will help me work to understand my strengths and weaknesses in order to support my learning and personal development. It will help me reflect on my mental and physical wellbeing.
