Mount Abu-Educational Trip

Mount Abu is a hill station in the Aravali Range in the Sirohi district of the state of Rajasthan in western India. It is referred to as ‘an oasis in the desert’ as its heights are home to rivers, lakes, waterfalls, and evergreen forests. The nearest train station is Abu road railway station 28 km away with our classmates which we only know only by their names and it was time to know them personally. Bunch of people with quite a nervousness and excitement away from home and our devices.

LO 1: Identify own strengths and develop areas and growth

This was my first trek and I was unaware of the trekking process, while trekking I focused on the skill behind it and tried to understand it to a good extent, and knowing my own limitations allowed me to improve these weaknesses and tired turn them into my strengths.

LO 2: Demonstrate the challenges that have been undertaken, developing new skills in the process

It was a huge task for me to get up that early in morning especially in winters  and no communication with our parents but as days passed we get to know each other well we were pretty much like family and we realized there was no need for devices and social media, we learned to appreciate little things, nature, each others activities, actions, and many other things. Our body was not properly ready for the huge healthy trek,I lacked stamina and had never attempted such lengthy treks. However, by pushing myself through these treks, I realized that I was capable of improving my stamina. As a result, I have started working on enhancing my stamina, which has left me feeling empowered.

LO 5: Demonstrate the skills and recognize the benefits of working collaboratively

Working in a team makes our work easier and more productive, during this trek we helped each other by encouraging them and even helped when one was injured and needed care of each other. And all these little things make the trek more successful and created tons of memories.

LO 6: Demonstrate engagement with issues of global significance

As we started our trek, I noticed some trash all over the mountains so me and some of my friends I decided to pick up any debris that came on our way and gathered it in a bag we through away once we were done with it.
