Cultural Capsule

Cultural Capsule was a joyful way of educating little children about the Indian culture through games, arts and crafts, and activities. Education about the culture around you accelerates the society and creates ethics. It lets you have more meaningful interactions with those around you and teaches one to celebrate their origin. This experience guided me to respect my culture as well as learn various new things that I can pass on to my family and friends.

LO 5 – Demonstrate the skills and recognize the benefits of working collaboratively

Our goal was to converse with the children and help them learn in a efficient yet joyful way. And in order to achieve that, my group mates and I came up with easy instructions that would help them to store and use them for later events.

LO 6 – Demonstrate engagement with issues of global significance

Issues that were looked at were how the children weren’t able to do the bare minimum activities and how there was a communication gap between us volunteers and the children. For example, they found difficulty in holding scissors and were quite shy. This showed the lack of initiative by the government to cater quality education to the low paid schools.

LO 7 – Recognize and consider the ethics of choices and actions

Educating little learners shape them to become an independent individual who makes clever choices andimportant decisions. It develops skills and gives them the potential of working collaboratively. In this tender age, the children learn to develop their personality and their behavior.
