For one of my CAS experiences, I volunteered with many other students to teach students ICT skills to underprivileged children. This occurred over the weekend, With 6 Sessions and a total of 9 Teaching Hours to Students from 23rd July 2022 to 7th August 2023, There was a defiled list of the skill sets that we had planned for the students with projects that they worked on. Community service aimed to nurture and apply the knowledge, skills, and practice of civic values within each individual. Computers have been my Interest for a long time and I have been programming for 2 years. It was an honor for me to teach what I have learned over the years and to give back to society.Â
As part of this experience, I planned to meet multiple Learning Outcomes and contribute to multiple Sustainable Development Goals. The Sustainable Development Goal that this experience caters to is SDG 4: Quality Education.

Learning Outcomes :Â
LO1 [Strength & Growth] :
We had Individuals with different skill sets thus While dividing responsibilities we all had to Identify our strengths and the areas we need to work on. Through this, I was able to Identify my weakness which was communication.
LO3 [Initiative & Planning] :
As this was an experience spread over 3 weeks the articulating stages for executing the plan were accomplished in collaboration with my peers. We did this by creating a Roadmap on computer concepts from basic to web level.
LO5 [Perseverance & commitment] :
Everyone is inclusive with different skills and interests and with collaboration the concepts produced were comparatively easy for students to digest. Every concept that was planned for the students was achieved successfully both by the students and by us.
LO6 [Global engagement] :Â
Lack of Quality Education and learning opportunities is a major problem in the  world Â
During this Experience, I face a small problem of communication, I was unable to properly communicate my thoughts and knowledge with the students in their local language and I took 10 min every day to learn the basics of “Gujarati” (The language spoken and understood by the underprivileged students), This is How I overcame a Problem that I faced which alongside helped me convert basic things in a new languageÂ
Learner Profile :Â
Thinker & Knowledgeable :
Making a timeline for students and organizing the syllabus so that it can be taught in a fun way. And Knowledgeable by spreading knowledge to the ones who need it and cannot access it.
Communicator :Â
Interaction one-on-one with children in their local language and communicating computing concepts to them by demonstrating google slides and exemplary code samples.
In the end, this experience motivated me and provided me with a sense of joy and accomplishment since I helped these students acquire a skill that they wouldn’t otherwise have access to.
