Creating Posters For Cafe

Creating posters were a part of my CAS experience in various ways as this helped me in having a hands on experience for my career path which is graphic design, and I always was quite passionate about creating designs and posters for any work. This is a creativity component as by creating this posters, i developed my creativity skills using different tools. The posters i created was for Nescafe for their own purpose.

LO1:- Identify own strengths and develop areas of growth.

My strength has always been the creativity part, i like to create posters and work with many other editing tools hence i was confident enough to create this poster. Some areas of growth were to professionally work with some café and making a formal poster for them, initially, i worked by seeing some YouTube videos and with the help of other medias, but then while making this posters, many creativity skills were used and doing the poster by own.

LO2:- Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills in the process

There were challenges faced during the process which was undertaken while also developing new skills in the process. The challenging task was communication gap and working professionally, this was challenging as there were some perspective clashes which ended up in changing many design ideas, after a while this was overcome in the second poster created below. While, i developed new skills such as working with some editing softwares, such as Photoshop and Illustrator to create such posters while Canva being used the most, working with each different software was challenging while it was also helpful and effective in developing new skills, and also in building up my career path.

LO7:- Recognize and consider the ethics of choices and action

NESCAFE is a global brand, and my posters needed to be culturally sensitive. Ethical choices were made in the design elements to ensure that the visual resonate positively to the people observing or following the brand. This consideration reflects brand’s commitment to inclusivity and respect for different cultures.
