PI(Ï€)-Day (CAS Project)

As we all have studied mathematics in our lives at least once also we have used π while solving the equations, we the students of fountainhead school decided to tribute an event on Einstein’s birthday and the World π day on 14th March 2023. I was selected as the head of invites for the event and even I was told to entertain people with a game. I choose to make people play a very entertaining and mind game of remembering the π numbers as much as they can. The person remembering the highest numbers will receive a price. The event was quite successful and each and every guest enjoyed the event.

LO3- While we were given our task, we all have to propose our plan to the respected teachers and show them the flow of the event. When the flow was approved by the teachers we explained the same to the event volunteers. Thus, a proper planning of any event will help to make the purpose successful.

LO5 - Demonstrate the skills and recognize the benefits of working collaboratively.

I have been playing team sports since childhood and I have a very good team spirit in any work given. Also other core committee members were understanding and allowing everyone to give chance. We all were able to distribute the tasks among ourselves and then we decided to divide OC members among ourselves and then each one of the CC member assigned their OC certain job to complete and make the event complete. We were able to communicate easily and also everyone completed their work on time which was the greatest relief while the preparation and the event.

LO7 – Recognize and consider the ethics of choices and actions.

I have been an mathematics enthusiast since childhood and loved the way of deriving any formulas. Since π is one of the greatest mathematical discovery, I was very much keen on learning more about the event and also was very much excited to work with my mathematics teachers. This choice of action was turned out to be one of the best event I have organized in the school. Even though I wasn’t able to walk while the event as I had stitches in my legs, I did participate in the event while working on wheelchair as my ethics didn’t allowed me to leave an ongoing event.

Conclusion, The event was quite successful and each and every guest or even the OC, CC and Mathematics teachers team enjoyed the event.
