In support of International world costal day which was held in dumas beach located in Surat,Gujarat. I participated in the beach cleaning for beach cleanup activities like spreading awareness,removing detritus waste like polythene bags, glass bottles, vegetables and fruits peels etc that had been dumped their for much many time across the whole area of dumas beach
Because of this CAS experience,i will have a good knowledge about environmental issues which we are facing and what i have learn from this CAS experience is that how garbage is a major issue in and near beach area and we should keep our beaches clean by spreading awareness and cleaning activities to keep our ecological environment clean.
LEARNING OUTCOMES-
LO-4 [ how commitment to and perseverance in CAS experience ]
I showed commitment and perseverance in this experience by doing the duty of cleaning the beach in which we went to the area where it was going to take place early in the morning, where we cleaned the detritus waste around the beach area and spread awareness which most people may not be able to do because of their laziness.
LO-5 [ Demonstrate the skills and recognize the benefits of working collaboratively ]
Working together improves the way our team works and help us to solve the problem easier as a single person or a group of 2,3 people cannot make it happen especially in beach cleaning so working collaboratively will help us to collect more amount of trash and also motivates us to collect more for good environmental sustainability which lead us to more innovation, efficient processes, increased success, and improved communication which made us to clean the spot more efficiently.
LO-6 [ Demonstrate engagement with issues of global significance ]
The global issue which are followed here are land pollution,human alteration and climatic change, which can harm the sensitive beach environment that supports a variety of plants and animals. Beaches can be destroyed if we don’t protect them properly and as a result trash filled beach can harm our ecological sustainability and we should use beaches area as our home and learn to enjoy them without harming them.
LO-7 [ Recognize and consider the ethics of choices and action ]
By becoming a part of beach clean up effort,and by keeping the social cause in mind. Me with my friends cleaned the beach by removing detritous waste around the area and spreading awareness to save ocean and marine life which will help our community and the decision which i took was ethical beacause of social services as well as my work towards environmental sustainability.
