Box Cricket Tournament (CAS Project)

My friends and I had planned a box cricket competition. We arranged our tasks based on their respective skills and methods to ensure smooth management. We had enough players for the tournament, which we ran successfully, and we formed teams of four, with a captain and five players on each team. the five-over match between four teams, two of which were split into groups A and B. More participants in the tournament were encouraged to show up by everyone. The winners received a cash payment and a trophy.

LO’s:

LO1 – Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth.

The simplest task is organizing a tournament, but when it comes to management, this is where we demonstrate our skills. Our well-thought-out plans made our work easier and prevented us from facing too many difficulties. Even though we faced challenges, we showed off our strengths and made progress. We ensure that all players were given everything that they required.

LO3 – Demonstrate how to initiate and plan a CAS experience.

Before to the tournament, we had planned every detail, including the budget, participants, and expenses both before and after the tournament. In order to prevent arguments, the tournament was planned with clarity in advance time, making it possible to receive cricket equipment and match umpires on time.

LO4 – Show perseverance and commitment in CAS experience.

We came across a few issues, including miscommunication about whether a player was out of the game or not. The leg umpire was important in helping us resolve an issue over how many wickets we declared during the tournament. Even though we had trouble keeping track of the runs, we officially recorded our scores in the Cricheroes app, which allowed us to identify any errors we had made in our score calculations.

LO5- Demonstrate the skills and recognize the benefits of working collaboratively

I find it easy to collaborate with others because we can divide all tasks, and managing the team becomes simple for this cricket tournament. I collaborate as a team when working with others to ensure that there are no misunderstandings throughout the tournament and that everything goes according to plan. I had difficulty to keep count of the runs and overs. I have to count the runs per over using the Cricheroes app for this. Working collaboratively with others is important. Such as when it comes to run counting, we allocated two organizers to each turf, and they were both in for calculating runs and taking project photos.
