FRENCH IMMERSION(creativity)

On January 13, French Immersion was held. There were various booths there which depicted various nations and highlighted their facts and distinctive characteristics. There were games like Jeopardy, word searches, puzzles, memes, and picture booths at each table. This activity was held to illustrate the lessons that could be drawn from it and to make this topic more approachable to individuals. Teachers from DP had encouraged students of  grade 11  to participate in this event and pick up new skills. I volunteered for this event as a member of the decor crew, where I was in charge of enhancing the event’s viewing appeal.

LO2: “Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills.”

It was a challenging work that required me to pay attention and look for accurate information: selecting the correct facts about each country and making sure that each activity reflected the appropriate knowledge. The event also needed to visually represent its concept, therefore we had to find items that fit the concept.

LO3: “Demonstrate how to initiate and plan a CAS experience.”

This activity was designed to make French more engaging for pupils studying other subjects and more captivating for those already familiar with the topic. Everything needed to be planned, from choosing a site to sending invitations. To engage the audience and help them connect with the information, we developed a number of concepts, like setting up a picture booth, activity booths, and playing music.

LO5: “Demonstrate skills and benefits of working collaboratively.”

This event was planned collaboratively. We all needed to collaborate in order to make the event a success. It requires collaborative problem-solving, clear roles and duties, excellent communication, and helpful criticism from all participants. Even though we faced challenges, working together allowed us to get beyond them all. Despite occasional conflicts, we improved our communication skills and found solutions to all of our issues.
