CAS Project: Designing 2024 Batch Yearbook

This is a CAS Project. My teammates and I plan and gather all the required resources/details needed to design a creative and different yearbook for the Class of 2024, one that is different than those of the previous years.

  • LO2. Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills in the process.

One of the difficulties that my team and I had during this project was managing the numerous tasks that needed to be completed to attain the desired result. However, to make things easier for us and improve project management, we and our supervisor decided to divide our responsibilities based on our strengths/interests. We struggled in various areas to achieve our deadlines. When we had differing viewpoints on specific issues, we talked about them thoroughly and reached a mutual agreement, which we followed.

  • LO3 – Initiate and plan a CAS experience.

For the CAS Project of Yearbook Design to be approved and progressed, my team and I presented a few possible layouts that we worked on together for the yearbook. We also divided ourselves into several different tasks, such as collecting content responses from students, teachers, coordinators, and support staff, editing the received responses, planning photoshoots for student pictures that would be added to the yearbook, creating forms, and so on. My personal goal for this yearbook was to make an unforgettable and timeless yearbook that captures the essence of our school year.

  • LO4 – Show perseverance and commitment in the CAS experience.

My teammates and I have spent a lot of time planning and executing those plans to create a memorable yearbook for our batchmates. There were a lot of meetings that we scheduled to work on this together update our supervisor regarding the same and receive feedback on our progress. From time to time we have these meetings to work on our project.

  • LO5. Demonstrate the skills and recognize the benefits of working collaboratively.

This entire project had been a team effort and through all the challenges faced, we worked collaboratively to achieve what we had planned and made great memories. One thing that I learned the best from this entire project experience of working as a team member and being able to manage a small-scale event.
