In the past one and a half years, we have all understood the value of teachers even more. October 5 is observed as World Teachers’ Day every year to celebrate and recognize the importance of teachers throughout the world. Teachers play a pertinent role in education. And the exert a significant influence on their students, especially in the formative years. India has produced many great teachers and as we all know Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan’s birthday is celebrated as ‘Teachers’ Day’ in India. The deadly COVID-19 pandemic has significantly altered the teaching-learning landscape, there seems to be a potential threat to the role of teachers in school/college education.
LO1: Identify your own strengths and develop areas for growth
Craft is the thing which I used to do when I got bored. Since grade 9th I was disconnected from craft and now by this big day of teachers I got an opportunity to do it again so I took part in making envelopes, in which we are gonna put cards given by students to their most likeable mentor. It was almost 115 envelopes we have to make. I used to do craft when I was in my early’s and I remember I also used to took part in competition like best from waste.
LO5 Demonstrate the skills and recognize the benefits of working collaborativelyÂ
It’s always my first preference to work in crew so it was quiet easy for me to collab with people and I used to believe in ” more people more knowledge and skill ” also it helps to me develop stronger communication skill as because I’m a shy to put my point in an argument I have to think twice whenever someone ask me to speek ,we could also receive feedback on our performances.
We used to come in early in with teachers and PYP and also utilize our free slots to make envelopes for teachers, we were five students assigned for this task. We end up by choosing old newspaper which also belongs to sustainability, we get our resources ordered and get into it.
