My school and several other communities from Gujarat recently took part in a beach cleanup event hosted by Surat’s SMC (Surat Municipal Corporation) in order to conserve and preserve our ecosystem. I had the chance to participate to save our planet from the damaging effects it has on the marine life, and thanks to the Costal Cleanup Day in September I was able to help the environment become more cleaner not just for the environment  but, also for the marine life as well.

LO’5: Demonstration of the skills and recognize the benefits of working collaboratively.

I have demonstrated excellent cooperation and teamwork abilities by offering to assist clean the beach. Cleaning up a beach required tons of collaborations from various NGO’s and organizations, and i certainly collaborated with other volunteers to make the common aim of making the beach cleaner and more enjoyable for everybody.

LO’6:  Demonstrate engagement with issues of Global significance

I had demonstrated commitment by volunteering to assist clean up the beach. The problem of the planet’s seas impacts not only the local community but the entire world. And by helping in the beach cleanup, I demonstrated my knowledge of the need of environmental conservation and action to preserve our planet’s natural resources.

LO’7 : Recognize and consider the ethics of choices and actions.

I recognize that  my own decisions and activities may have a major influence on the environment and individuals around you.  By doing this CAS experience i have demonstrated that I am highly aware of the ethical consequences of my actions and contributions that I just made for my planet. By doing this i was bringing a good change to the environment and local community.
