Cycling improves stamina and strength. This may contribute to stronger bones and lower body fat levels. Even improving joint mobility and strengthening muscular strength and flexibility. Reduced amounts of body fat, we maintain our health and fitness.Cycling prevents disease like high blood pressure , heart disease and lung issues.

Learning Outcome:

LO1: Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth.

To determine my level of fitness, I recognised my own strength. After a month of cycling, I was able to cycle for at least 17 km in an hour. After more than an hour of riding, I became exhausted, but I continued to attempt to bike with that energy I had left that day. Even participated in cyclothon. I would like to strengthening my legs as improve on my areas of weakness in this.

LO2: Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills in the process.

The difficult part of this was figuring out how well we fit or are capable of performing our work. The Main reason was traffic within the area .I found this to be the most difficult part of the ride. Even the challenging part people in the city drive cars above the speed limit. This made it difficult often during the ride.Using active transport like cycling instead of driving reduces carbon emissions, eases traffic congestion and eliminates parking problems. Less pollution and traffic mean our communities will become greener, healthier and less stressful places to live. It was challenging to compete in Cyclothon as there were so many people involved.

LO4:Show commitment to and perseverance in CAS experiences

The commitment required was to never miss a day and to not give up halfway. Obviously in the beginning it was difficult to keep up but then I found ways to be on task and show perseverance towards the goal. Even though these were uncertain times,I made sure that I try my best to be committed and extremely focused. I exhibited perseverance to ride a bicycle for 110 KM. I tried to do my best to balance this activity with my studies and cycling. In this instance, it was difficult to manage the time, which made this activity more difficult.

LO 7: Recognize and consider the ethics of choices and actions

Cycling for exercise and transportation presents ethical issues about one’s own health and the environment. Firstly, it is ethically right to put one’s own health first by engaging in physical activities like cycling. In addition, by improving cleaner air and reducing carbon emissions, cycling is a more environmentally sustainable option than driving. However, driving through traffic can provide ethical challenges because it becomes important to maintain personal safety when crossing the road alongside motor vehicles, especially when travelling places with heavy congested roadways.
