CityScape Photography/ Photography Page

CityScape Photography/ Photography Page (C)

I love to take cityscape photos, so I made an Instagram feed for my CAS experience and posted cityscape photos I had taken while on vacation and during holidays when I was traveling the city and looking for the ideal spots to take photos. The majority of the photos I took were on my Diwali vacations in Hong Kong, where I specifically took images of the cityscape. CityScape Photography comprises the scenery surrounding the city, as well as its structures, streets, and, of course, its skylines. I’m displaying my photography skills by maintaining a photography page and uploading pictures to Instagram. One of the best experiences was this. As a hobby, I adore clicking pictures. The initial goal was to showcase talent and explore something new and different. The caption next to the image will represent any hidden meaning the snapshot may have. This account has been made public so that anyone with an interest in cityscape photography can follow.

LO1: Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth

By conquering a few obstacles, such as being able to click on Creative photograph ideas and having good color-grading skills, I was able to recognize my strengths. I was also able to recognize my weaknesses, such as my inability to locate the ideal sites in the city and my struggles to get the ideal angle for cityscape photographs. But because it was a part of learning a new skill, it was crucial to understanding the strengths and weaknesses so that we could understand where we are at and so that I could genuinely improvise while learning about cityscape photography.  I was happy with the outcomes at the conclusion of the event since I was able to address my inadequacies rather than try to hide them.

LO2: Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills in the process

Maintaining the academic and managing the pages was challenging for me because there were numerous submissions that were due, and choosing the ideal time for the post was challenging because I might forget to post something on Instagram one day. I’ve used Instagram before, but I only regularly post pictures, so managing a page on Instagram was completely new to me. As a result, I developed time management skills that allow me to make a schedule for the day. For this reason, I chose a precise time for the post that could be scheduled. Following the plan I make for the entire day will help me become more adept at managing my time, as well as make it easier for me to handle the page and submit my cityscape photographs on schedule without forgetting.

LO3: Demonstrate how to initiate and plan a CAS experience.

acquiring photographic skills and sharing the results on social media via taking images. I took certain cityscape photographs and posted the results on social media to promote my niche product. Throughout the process of taking the cityscape photos, I was organized. In order to improve the images’ quality, I had to do some study. However, I had some trouble locating reliable sources that might guide me in taking better photos because everyone desires high-quality images. At the conclusion of the event, I learned how to take nice photos and how crucial it is to plan ahead because doing so can help with time management and attention.

LO4: Show commitment to and perseverance in CAS experiences

Due to my hectic schedule with SAs and working on all the other things, it was a little challenging for me to squeeze in a few hours for commuting during the school days, which made it even more challenging to post it on Instagram. As I was in Hong Kong for my Diwali vacation, it was challenging for me to manage my schedule and get outside to take pictures. I also had trouble finding the ideal site for cityscape photography because I always struggle to locate the ideal angle and spot. Since I was going to share all of the images on a public account, I had looked into cityscape photography before putting this experience into action so that I could take the finest possible pictures.

At the conclusion of this event, I was effective at practicing a new skill—photographing cityscapes—and I was pleased with the level of my work and effort. Via this experience, I was able to learn photography, and through my studies, I was able to understand the fundamentals of cityscape photography. Finally, towards the end of this endeavor, I was also able to improve my time management abilities.
