Social media manager

Aashman foundation is an Indian Non-Government Company. It is working for the upliftment and betterment of less-privileged kids. They work in the field of child education, health, and their rights. I worked as a social media manager at Aashman foundation wherein I received daily tasks and reach the maximum goal to get stars and acquire a certificate. I had to do tasks such as promoting the foundation and getting more people to contribute to it and collecting donations for proving meals to underprivileged children and jobs for widowed women.

LO2: “Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills.”
I faced several challenges as people were not ready to enroll in something they don’t profit from. It was difficult to convince people or even find willing volunteers to contribute their time and effort to this cause.

LO4: “Show perseverance and commitment in CAS experience.”
I showed my dedication and commitment in this CAS experience by reaching the maximum goal in each task which is evident in the number of stars on the certificate.

LO6: “Engagement with issues of global significance.”
The global issues catered in this experience were ‘Zero Hunger’ and ‘Decent Work and Economic Growth’. These global issues were chosen because the donation that was collected was used to buy food packets for underprivileged children and the promotions on social media were done of widowed women looking for jobs as well as starting businesses on their own.

LO7: “Recognise and consider the ethics of choices and actions.”
Ethics was considered in this experience because our actions were the cause to eradicate child hunger. This was a foremost point because we had to do our best in order to play our part in this cause.
