Nature and Wildlife Photography (Creativity)

Since the past four to five years, I have had a lot of interest in the field of photography. I had made the decision to pursue photography as a pastime. In my previous school, I began taking photos. I started taking pictures of my houseplants and flowers when I got my first camera. I gradually began taking pictures of animals and other things.

During the CAS experience, we met the following

LOs: LO 1: Identify your own strengths and develop areas for growth.
Because I have a background in photography, I was able to understand the main points. When taking the picture, I had to be very patient because if my hand moved even slightly, the picture wouldn’t be good.

LO-2: Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills

Nature and wildlife photography is a hobby that requires a lot of patience and calm. ensuring that the camera is in sync with the animal and plant movements caused by wind. Additionally, focusing on the object is the hardest because even a small movement can blur it. I tried to take a picture of a water sprinkler, but it was hard, but after 6-7 attempts, I was able to get the shot. In addition, I now know how to use ISO and shutter speed in various situations.

Lo-4: Show perseverance and commitment in CAS experience.

I will continue to dedicate myself to photography. Additionally, I intend to compile my own portfolio of photographs.

The learners profile for this CAS experience is open-minded and  thinkers.

In conclusion, I find nature & wildlife photography as a great hobby which will enhance my knowledge of the wildlife photography and give me more experience in the field of photography.
