Macrame

I started learning macrame during the Diwali vacation because I am very much sure that I would pursue fashion design and for that, I choose to explore new mediums. So I started with a macrame workshop where I learned the basic technique of knotting on chords and then learned how to make earrings. The process of macrame taught me patience.

LO-1 ( Identify own strengths and develops an area of growth)
Before starting macrame I use to make bracelets, doll skirts, and small handbags which gave me the practice of knotting doing it continuously became my strength. When I started with the macrame workshop I was able to do it with ease because I had the practice of knotting. It developed my patience level which helps me in my daily routine.

LO-2 ( Demonstrates that challenges have been undertaken)
While doing the macrame workshop challenge I faced was making earrings although knots were easy but applying that same knots on the wooden base or steel base of earing was a bit challenging hence, it was challenging lastly, I was able to do it as I was able to grasp the technique.

LO-4 ( Showed perseverance and commitment in CAS experience)
During this experience, I showcased my commitment by attending all 3 days of the workshop consistently. Perseverance because I use to sit at the workshop for 3 to 4 hours unless I did not learn the technique.

Lastly, it was fruitful experience because I learned something new and I further implemented that techniques in making hairband and keychain.
