Learning My Folk Dance – GARBA

As a part of CAS experience, i practiced garba, which is my folk dance. This was the time when Navratri, my cultural festival started in November and i was the one who did not know how to do my own folk dance, “Garba”. And then i wanted to start classes to learn one, but due to schools and other extracurricular activities, i was struggling to join the classes, the main problem being time management. But the CAS experience was the best reason and the best opportunity to learn the dance fulfilling both the wants. First being, CAS experience and the other one being my wish to learn it.

For the evidence, i took photos of me practicing garba at the classes and then even performing it in the festival.

LO2 - Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills.

I developed my new skills of dancing which i never really performed and even not good at it and the challenges were as stated before, lack of time, it was not possible for me to visit classes everyday due to my personal activities. So this was the skill i developed while attending classes and performing it in the end.

LO4 - Show perseverance and commitment in CAS experience.

In this particular CAS experience, i went to the classes for straight 5 months which shows my commitment towards practicing and learning Garba. And proving this by performing Garba which i learned during the period of 5 months and record that video and pasting it shows the perseverance and commitment towards garba.
