Nature Camp (Mt. Abu)

I took a trip to Mount Abu with a bunch of my classmates. We were all very excited as well as nervous to go out. We did a lot of activities like trekking, caving, sunrise, adventure activities etc.

LO 1 – Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth

Some activities required a lot of strength and courage to complete. It was my first time trekking which helped me identify what are my weaknesses and how to overcome it. It helped me develop my social and communicative skills with others. One of my strength was my stamina which helped complete the trek easily and smoothly

LO 2 – Undertaking New Challenges

i really enjoyed the entire trip, however some challenges I faced was not having access to my phone and waking up early. In my day to day life, I am not a early person and I cannot wake up early in the morning. However, I accepted the challenge and overcome it after the end of the trip. Another challenge, was to not use my phone for almost a week. But, I overcome that habit and enjoyed with my friends.

LO 4 – Show perseverance and commitment

To get through those steep trials and rocky roads, this trip required a lot of perseverance. My mind wanted to give up at every turn, I pushed myself and complete the treks. For this determination, I was able to see every aspect of nature such as breath taking view, sunrise etc.

LO5: Demonstrate the skills and recognize the benefits of working collaboratively

I learned to work in teams and collaborate with my classmates. We became support and motivation for each other and helped each other to complete the trek.  There were many moments in the trek when a lot of us wanted to quit, but we encouraged each other to complete it.

LO 6 – Demonstrate engagement with issues of global significance

While climbing the mountain, we noticed a lot of trash all over it. We picked it up and gathered it in a bag, which we threw away once we finished trekking. There were a lot of food items confiscated from the students, we donated that food to poor people we encountered during our trek.
