Badminton Tournament

I have practiced badminton for multiple months now and finally got an opportunity to showcase it and also test myself by going in an inhouse badminton tournament. It was the first time I had ever gone to a sports tournament.

I got to play singles against 4 random opponents matching my skill level. I first had to play 1 match of 21 points against 2 people, both of which I won. Then I had to play 3 matches (best of 3) of 15 points against 2 more people for the semifinals and finals. Both of these matches were extremely tough but, in the end, I won with close scores and came first in my category.

LO2 – Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills: Challenges had been undertaken as I played against multiple people who were near my skill level and could have defeated me. I practiced a lot to develop my skills in order to win the matches.

LO4 – Show perseverance and commitment in CAS experience: I regularly went to the classes for 4-5 months. I started enjoying the game a lot more. I also had to play continuously during the tournament which was tiring and required endurance.
