FSMUN 9.0

FSMUN 9.0

I participated in the FSMUN 9.0 in Lok Sabha as a delegate of BJP party representing Mr. Rajan Singh Rajkumar the Minister of State for Ministry of Education and Ministry of External Affairs in Second Narendra Modi ministry. I researched about the insurgencies Manipur and how the BJP party have solved some of the insurgencies under their rule.

As a result of my CAS experience I will get a better understanding that how does the Lok Sabha of our country function and what all things you have to keep in mind when you are representing your state, party in the Lok Sabha.

LO1 : Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth.

In this CAS experience, I was able to identify that politics is not by strength. It is important for you to know your weaknesses so you can know what what things you can do and what thing you can not and have to improve in. I would like to work on my understanding of politics which can help me in future.

LO2 : Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills in this process.

The challenge I faced was that it was a little hard for me to understand somethings as I was not having that much prior knowledge in politics. I feel very good that I have done something that is outside of my comfort zone.

LO4 : Show perseverance and commitment in CAS experience.

The commitment required to complete this activity was that I commited that I wan’t to learn something new and getting out of my comfort zone that is to learn about how the lok sabha works.

LO5 – Demonstrate skills and benefits of working collaboratively.

In lok sabha I worked with my fellow delegates representing the BJP party and we collaboratively debated about the insurgencies in India. The importance of teamwork in my activity was very important as we were as a team representing the ruling party of India’s democracy.

LO6 – Engagement with issues of global significance.

The issues of global significance that we discussed were the “Insurgencies in India” . The way knowing this global issues contribute to personal growth is that by knowing the insurgencies in India I can learn about the problems that India has gone through in all these years.

LO7 – Recognise and consider the ethics of choices and actions.

By participating in FSMUN 9.0 as delegate of lok sabha and as a result I was able to understand and learn about many insurgencies in India. My opinion on this issue before this activity was that I was knowing there have been many insurgencies in India but not all of them are known to me, But after FSMUN 9.0 I was able to learn a lot about the Insurgencies I was not familiar with.

The SDGs catered in this CAS experience are SDG – 16 – Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions, and SDG – 17 – Partnerships for the goals. The learner profile attributes that I developed as result of this CAS experience is Communicators because I will be communicating with my party members and also with the opposition party about the insurgencies in India.
