I am extremely privileged to get a quality education. However, I am aware of the fact that many children all around the world are not able to access the same.  Knowing the same, I wanted to share my learnings and knowledge about the sport of football with underprivileged kids. 

My school, Fountainhead, organizes community service once a year. It includes various activities such as football, arts & craft, dance, and much more. Our school invites underprivileged children from all over the city, making sure they get 3 weekends of learning and fun. 

I have been doing football for 3 years, and I wanted to convey the knowledge I have about the sport to children who don’t have access to the same. Fountainhead school provides us with the resources for the same such as footballs, ground, cones, etc. 

LO5 – [Demonstrate skills and benefits of working collaboratively] 

Everyone participating in the community service, worked together collaboratively to be the most efficient during teaching so that the children can get the highest level of learning. Everyone has their strengths and weaknesses, and working together smartly can embrace those strengths and cut down those weaknesses. 

LO6 – [engagement with issues of global significance]

Quality education is the 4th sustainable development goal, meaning it is one of the top priorities to achieve. These small steps help achieve the same. Showing underprivileged children what they are capable of, and giving them a small push can lead to something bigger in the future. 

All in all, this community service helped me see how grateful I should be for everything that I have, moreover, it helped me understand the importance of sharing your learning and knowledge with others.
