I have always been fond of music. My greatest stress reliever and my go to place always. I used to sing for a long time but I wanted to learn a new skill in the vast world of music and hence I looked at this cas experience as an opportunity to learn a new skill in an area of great personal interest . So I joined a music/piano class for 3 months , 2 days a week .Â

I knew I wanted to do a CAS experience in the field of music , but I had to identify areas where I could grow . Piano was a potential place to grow as I never learned it yet I was familiar with music. I knew I had decent vocal skills so I identified that I could learn piano which would be a new skill to learn and would complement my vocal skills too.

Learning music is always a challenge , and I already knew this from my past experiences but I was ready to take on this challenge as well . Some of the challenges I faced were time management and remembering the right keys. Having a tight schedule it was hard to take out time for learning and practicing piano .Â

To show commitment was key during this experience. Any sort of holidays or irregularity could lead to loss of practice hence i was always trying to stay committed to the process and most importantly patient. In music, the basics are very important and so for the first month I was only practicing them . Although I was impatient , eventually my commitment paid off and when I progressed it was easier for me to transition into songs.
