On the Occasion of International Literacy there was an event hosted in school which helped us students listen to new experiences from the support staff as well as hear them perform, I volunteered in the event which contributed towards the success of the event as well as helped me develop my communication skills as well
LO’s focused –
- LO2 – Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken -Â Communicating about serious issues has always been a challenge for me and communicating in Gujarati was also a challenge as I am not used to communicate in languages other than English and Hindi.
- LO5 – Demonstrate skills and benefits of working collaboratively – Had to collaborate with support staff/teachers/other volunteers to ensure that all the things work smoothly and the event goes as planned.
- LO6 – Engagement with issues of global significance. – In the event, education and the importance of education was talked about which is a global issue and needs to be talked about more. We discussed about how privileged we are to study in good schools with access to many resources and how we should value it.
