Trekking-
For our 11th educational trip, the school took us to mount abu for trekking. It was a very challenging activity considering the treks were super long and our daily lives weren’t that active so we weren’t used to walking all day. We did numerous activities and treks including the Mowgli land trek, Golden horn chimney trek, Sunrise trek, rock climbing, zipline, and many more. We were trekking in the cold as it was December and it was a forest so we had to look out for wild animals, trees, and rocks that might hurt us. We got to spend the nights with our friends in tents.
LO1-
I identified that since after covid my life had become very lazy and not at all active enough for me to complete this without resting in the middle of the trek. I was able to identify this weakness and this trek helped me to be more active and increase my endurance by testing my limits as we were walking basically all day long.
LO2-
I had taken on the challenge of completing this trek as they were very long and in a forest/hill-type environment. It was challenging because I had never done anything like this before so this was my first time trekking. My friends and teachers motivated me to go on further and complete the trek, and I was trying to beat myself so that motivated me to complete this trek.
LO4-
This activity required me to stay committed to completing the trek as you couldn’t back out halfway through the trek and you had to complete it almost non-stop. It required consistency and commitment to get through this trek successfully.
This CAS experience was memorable because we were having fun and trekking from day to night with our friends and creating memories as we went. We saw some beautiful scenarios which we could not have experienced anywhere else. We had to collaborate and work together with our group to stay together during the trek so nobody got lost and each night was a relief that we got to rest, but then the next day back to walking kms after kms.
