For one of my CAS activities I participated in a frisbee tournament with my friends and classmates. It was a great opportunity to get some physical activity while having fun and socializing with others.

The frisbee tournament was organized by our school itself . It was a single gender inter school tournament . We formed a team , where we practiced a little before the tournament to improve upon our throwing and catching skills and develop strategies for our team. 

On the day of the tournament, we arrived early at the sports field, where the event was being held. There were several teams from different schools, and the atmosphere was very lively and competitive. We warmed up and did some stretching exercises before our first match.

Each match lasted about 30 minutes and one of the team’s game – play was very intense,

and we had to use our communication skills, teamwork, and agility to score points and defend ourselves. The games were intense and challenging, but we remained focused and supportive of each other throughout. We communicated well, calling out plays and encouraging each other. 

I explored several learning outcomes through this experience . to being with LO1 –   identify own strengths and develop areas for growth as I used to play frisbee in 7th and 8th where i attended many tournaments as well , however after those years there was quite a break in playing this sport hence for this tournament I again evaluated and understood the areas I need to improve upon. Lo2- Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills in the process, as playing after a long time with a totally new team was a huge task itself . Since I had not played frisbee for a good amount of time I had to practice my skills for the game again, moreover learn to communicate properly as they were new  team members for me . Lastly,  LO5- demonstrate the skills and recognize the benefits of working collaboratively , this learning outcome was crucial as frisbee is a team game where collaboration is the key to success . Working together is also about motivating each other and taking important decisions as per the game’s scenario.

We faced some tough opponents, but our teamwork and perseverance paid off. In the end, we emerged as the runners up of the tournament. Participating in the Frisbee tournament was not only a fun and exciting experience but also a great opportunity for personal growth. I learned the importance of teamwork, communication, and perseverance in achieving success. I also learned the value of engaging in physical activity, which not only improves physical health but also enhances mental wellbeing.Overall, the Frisbee tournament was an excellent CAS activity that allowed me to develop valuable skills and learn important lessons. It was a memorable experience that I will always cherish.
