The Robin Hood Army is a non-profit organization that works to address food waste and food insecurity in India and other countries. The organization is run by volunteers who are committed to ending hunger and food waste in their communities. It also operates on a volunteer basis, with individuals and groups working to collect excess food from restaurants, cafes, and other food establishments, and distribute it to those who are in need. It also aims to give privileged students in slum areas access to basic education. They believe that no one should go to bed hungry, and they work tirelessly to ensure that surplus food is not wasted but instead reaches those who are hungry. They collaborate with other organizations, such as NGOs, schools, and colleges, to help raise awareness about the issue of hunger and food waste and to involve more people in their mission.
My CAS experience has given me a greater understanding of a crucial global issue. After taking part in RHA, I understood how important it is to find a solution to this problem if the country is to have a bright future.

LO:2 Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills in the process.
At first, I found it difficult to carve out time to devote to a task I did not find it enjoyable, but once I got into habit of loving aiding the unprivileged, I was able to devote more time to the service. I learnt how to work together, communicate effectively, and support each other to achieve common goals and it helped me in developing my teamwork skills, which can be applied to other areas in future. I also encounter various challenges such as limited resources, unexpected changes in plans, and communication barriers, which helped in developing my problem-solving skills. By taking on these challenges, I can make a real difference in the lives of those in need while also developing valuable skills that can be applied in future work.
LO:4Â Show commitment to and perseverance in CAS experiences.
I participated in or volunteered for an organization like Robin-Hood Army to benefit society. Firstly, I joined as a volunteer which requires dedication and a willingness to contribute in the drive. Initially, I only intended to participate in food drives in order to complete a CAS Experience, but after dedicating some time, I realized that I could benefit more people. Although I intended for this to be a short-term experience, I ended up staying with the group for several months and making a difference in society. Overall, demonstrating commitment and perseverance in the Robin-Hood Army requires a deep sense of dedication to the drive and a willingness to go above and beyond to help those who need it.
LO:5 Demonstrate the skills and recognize the benefits of working collaboratively.
Working collaboratively in the Robin-Hood Army is essential to achieve its goal for reducing food waste. The benefits of working collaboratively, communicating effectively helped me to prevent from misunderstandings, increase productivity, and improved overall performance. It also benefited me in problem-solving, and also in teamwork in which we supported each other and everyone had unique skills. We also build stronger relationships with each other and created a more supportive and inclusive environment. And working in Robin-Hood Army includes increase in efficiency, improves creativity, enhanced learning and also increased motivation. Overall, the Robin Hood Army relies on the skills of its volunteers to achieve its mission. And working collaboratively allows volunteers to grasp their skills and expertise, achieve greater efficiency and effectiveness, and make a meaningful impact on the community.
LO:6 Demonstrate engagement with issues of global significance.
Its mission is not limited to a particular region or country; rather, it has a global significance like understanding the broader context in which we know that the food waste and hunger is a global problem. The another significance is contributing to global initiatives in which Robin Hood Army participates in various global initiatives aimed at reducing food waste and fighting hunger. Raising awareness about the issue of food waste and hunger is crucial to bring about change on a global scale. Robin Hood Army collaborates with various international organizations which are working towards the same goal. And it can also participate in various global campaigns, such as World Food Day, to raise awareness about the issue of food waste and hunger. These are the global significance issues which are demonstrated with the organization.
