One of India’s most awaited festivals is Navaratri! It was very important to make this festival memorable for the students. I volunteered to assist and was given a few duties to complete. In the end, the event turned out to be fun and memorable.

LO3 – Initiate and plan a CAS experience.

We had to first decide what colour theme and what all decorations we need to do so that it looks nice and better than the previous year’s fest. We almost brainstormed for 1 week and then came to a conclusion what decorations we need to do and then we prepared the decorating items. We then on the date of the fest decorated the whole assembly area of our school.

LO4 – Show perseverance and commitment in CAS experience.

We had to come early-in for the planning of the event and also had to miss the slots on the day as it took full commitment to do decoration by 3:30 on the same day as well as decorate the photo-booth, set up food stalls and manage while the event was going on.

LO5 – Demonstrate skills and benefits of working collaboratively.

As I am new to the school, I didn’t know people and this was pretty difficult for me to deal with new people and share my thoughts. This helped me got to know more people and open my thoughts. This made me more confident to talk to people I haven’t talked to before.

In conclusion, the event was very much fun and everyone liked it. This event thus helped me to learn many things, few of which I explained above, and made me more confident about new things.
