As we are going to be the future of the Indian economy, we need to learn how the economy of India works with the help of the stock market. To this I joined the personal finance and investment club that was held in my school. I went to this club for about 3 months. It was quite fun as I got to know a lot about the share market working.
LO’S from the experience are
LO1 – Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth Screen reader support enabled.
As I was new to sharemarket It was quite a new experience with the terms used in share market. I also had a dummy account through which I invested in the share market with real prices of the share. The research on a company and learning the info-graph of the company was a challenge but my mentor in the club helped me to learn. This helped me get to know if I can or I should invest in the company.
LO4 – Show perseverance and commitment in CAS experience.
I used to attend the club almost in every slot and was regular in investing and researching in the company.This kept me engaged in seeking different info about many companies and what were their past performance in the share market and what all strategies the company applied to gain more and more profit. I also made a PPT of what all companies I invested in and what were my reasons to do so.
LO5 – Demonstrate skills and benefits of working collaboratively.
We were many times told to research about companies and share markets in groups which led to communication with many new people I have never met before. This helped me communicate with new people with ease. This also helped me show different people what my skills are and what all knowledge I can gain from different people.
LO6 – Engagement with issues of global significance.
This helped me get to know that different issues can implement its effect globally. For ex due to the Russian and Ukraine war, all changes in price led the market in different ways. There are many other problems like corona and others which cause inflation all over the world. These Global issues can cause change in price in many different sectors though they are not directly related to global issues.
Conclusion :-
I learned a lot about what are my interests and what will help me earn in future and what are the mindsets of people in earning money or what are their thinking processes aout any global issue.
