This event was conducted on the 23rd of February, 2023. This event was a student-led event to economics and business management students. The event is known as global odyssey, In this students were provided with an opportunity to run their own business. This event was conducted in various ways such as fun, food, fashion and others.
LO1 – (Â Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth )
In this event me and my team predicted that most of the customers would spend their money on food rather than on fun, So we were not expecting that many customers for fun. However the customers overwhelmed our expectations.
LO2 – ( Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills in the process )
After we had received our stall and area there were a lot of problems we had to faced like originally we decided to build a arena on top of the stall but it wasn’t possible due to uneven surface so we had to think of a new plan and we came up with using the ground as an arena with the use of ribbons to border our area.
LO3 – (Â Demonstrate how to initiate and plan a CAS experience )
To plan and initiate a business it takes a lot of hard work and team work for a business to successfully run. We had to consider so many things for this business to work like the price for a round of playing, the product, what kind of theme customers would like and others, We had planed all of this together and because of this, business went successful.
LO5 – (Â Demonstrate the skills and recognize the benefits of working collaboratively )
The most important and most crucial part of our business is teamwork as without it, the business wouldn’t be possible and probably a big flop. We not only had to work with partners but also had to coordinate with each other properly to ensure that everything went smoothly.
