Educational trip to Mt. Abu

Mt. Abu trip was a great experience especially because i haven’t got out of Surat for travelling for these 4 years because of lockdown and this experience made a type of balance in life because i used to travel with my family three times every year before lockdown . One such experience while trekking wa witnessing the sunrise from the top of a mountain. As my friends make their way up the mountain trail, the anticipation and excitement build up as they get closer to the summit. The final stretch of the ascent is often the toughest, with steep inclines and rocky terrain, but the trekkers push themselves through, driven by the desire to reach the top. My best experience were golden horn trekking because of how much risky it was and also town visiting where i did a lot of activities with my friends and this will always be my favourite memory of all time .

LEARNING OUTCOMES

LO1 – Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth

One my strengths were my stamina and my flexibility due to which i was able to avoid the thorns i way while trekking .One my weaknesses was stamina too before going to the trip but i overcame it by training hard in the gym . I was already aware of my weakness because i was regularly going to the gym but due to some medical reasons i was not able to go to the gym so when i returned to my gym routine before 8 days of the trip and when i was working out i suddenly noticed that there was a sudden decrease in my strength and stamina so i decided to do cardio and cycling everyday before trip and i was prepared for the challenge and it turned out to be my greatest strength .  It is important for us to know about our flaws as they remind us that there is always room for improvement and no one is perfect on the other it is also important for usand  to know our strength because that’s what gives us confidence to do other task .

LO2 - Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills in the process

The most challenging part was rock climbing and the final part where we had to sit on a rock and slip through it while there is nothing down there to save us if we slip , slipperiness of the shoes was a huge problem while trekking because i slipped and twisted my ankle . The challenge was also to get enough sleep without missing the fun i had with friends . I haven’t done anything similar like this and also it will be one of my favorite memories . I overcome the challenge of sleep by sleeping at evening when we returned from trekking to complete my minimum sleep requirement and to solve the slipping of shoes i learnt a new technique that was able to help me slip less by putting my foot perpendicular towards the surface .After this challenge was undertaken i felt more ease in climbing and also in caving i was able to use the grip of my shoes better.

LO4 - Show commitment to and perseverance in CAS experiences

The commitment to finish my trekking journey was the main thing that pushed me ahead to do the tasks cause i believe the challenges we face are there to strengthen our mind and body to be the best version of ourselves and i always thank those challenges because they are the ones that make me stronger and more happy in future . I felt very strong and self confident after facing those challenges like rock climbing , trekking and caving these times made me more strong day by day and made me believe that i can achieve whatever i dream of in my life i just have to be focused and work hard on it to achieve it .
