Karma Kitchen

I had volunteered in the organisation-karma kitchen where we as volunteer got the opportunity to be a part of the serving team where we serve the food for free which is made by our team to the people who visits us.I got the opportunity for serving where I have also taken few orders of and served them food back,Karma kitchen is an non profit organisation where they invite people and serve them zero cost food with great gesture and ambience around them. This experience is a long term goal as I will be doing the volunteering for 3 times which happens once in a month.

LO2:- Serving as a person who took the orders and served the at Karma Kitchen presented me with numerous challanges. As there were many people visiting us I had to adapt to this fast paced environment. This requires me to develop excellent communication skills with having the ability of multitasking with efficiency and a deep understanding of customer service.

LO5:-Karma Kitchen thrives on collaboration. The entire operation from preparing meals to serving customers elies on the seamless coordination of out team of volunteers.Working side by side with other volunteer and kitchen staff taught me the importance of effective team work.Where I also learned that how a well functioning team can achieve more than individual efforts. This experience reinforced the idea that collaboration is not only essential in volunteer work but in all aspects of life.

LO7:- Karma Kitchen unique philosophy of pay it forward dining challenged me to considered the ethics of my choices and actions.Customers were encouraged to pay what they felt the meal was worth and any surplus funds went towards covering the costs of future meals for those in need. This system made me reflect deeply on the value of generosity compassion and trust. It taught me that ethical decision making extends beyond personal gain and that our actions can have a positive impact on the lives of others.
