Participating in the recent ISSO Basketball Tournament at Pathways School in Delhi, Haryana, Gurgaon was an enriching experience that seamlessly aligned with the principles of the Creativity, Activity, and Service (CAS) program. This unique journey provided ample opportunities for both personal and collective growth, encapsulating the essence of the CAS learning outcomes (LO).
Learning Outcome 1 (LO1): Recognizing Strengths and Areas for Improvement
Active involvement in competitive basketball allowed me to introspect and identify my strengths and weaknesses. On the court, I discovered my aptitude for quick decision-making and strategic thinking, acknowledging a need for stamina improvement and shooting accuracy. This self-awareness laid the groundwork for a comprehensive personal growth plan.
Learning Outcome 2 (LO2): Embracing Challenges and Acquiring New Skills
Our team faced three demanding matches, emerging victorious in only one. However, every game was a crucible for skill development. I actively worked on refining my defensive techniques, learning from opponents’ play styles.
