LO 1: Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth
While I was on the trek, I had a chance to figure out what I’m good at and where I need to improve. We had to do a lot of different things during the trip, and it made me see where I’m strong, both physically and mentally. But there were also times when I struggled and faced tough situations, and that made me realize where I need to get better through these experiences. So, this trip wasn’t just fun; it was like a school for me. It showed me what I’m good at and what I need to work on, and it’s helping me grow and get better.
LO 4: Show commitment to and perseverance in CAS experiences
We were really committed to completing the trek. It was tough, and we had to be very organized and stay really focused. We pushed ourselves really hard, and because of that, we felt a great sense of achievement and belief in ourselves. This journey showed us how important it is to have a balance in life and take care of our spiritual, mental, and physical well-being.
LO 5: Demonstrate the skills and recognise the benefits of working collaboratively
Throughout the entire educational trip, we took part in a variety of team-building exercises meant to improve our ability to cooperate and work together. These activities were crucial in developing better communication skills and a greater comprehension of group dynamics. Additionally, we had to live outside of our comfort zones for the duration of the four-day journey, which drove us to become independent while also inspiring us to work closely with our peers to ensure everyone’s comfort. The benefit of collaboration is the inspiration gained from seeing others overcome similar obstacles, as well as the ability to adapt to new situations and dangers as a group because we are all on the same boat.
