This event has been a tradition in our school for years. As a kid, I was always looking forward to this event. I was always very excited to see what the school has new this year and to learn different things. This time I thought it would be a great experience to be the event coordinator for this event and make it the best creative mela so far.

LO 2: Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills in the process
We as a team were planning this event almost for a month. We faced several problems along the way. A few of them are managing the budget, figuring out unique ways for marketing, looking for new activities for the year and convincing our teachers for the same. For dealing with such problems we divide the work amongst the team and each one solved a few problems so that our work becomes easier and more efficient. This helped me develop critical thinking skills while I was looking for solutions and also collaboration skills when I had to work with the group as a whole. These skills will definitely help me in the future when I am in a similar situation and when I have to work with a team.

LO 3: Demonstrate how to initiate and plan a CAS experience
Organizing this event needed a lot of planning and time management. We had a lot of things to do and very less time so I had to organize all our tasks. Usually, I am not an organized person and I find it hard to organize my tasks. But due to the shortage of time, this event helped me develop my organizational skills. This way I was able to get through my tasks faster and also help my team members with their tasks. This experience will definitely help me plan and initiate activities in the future.

LO 5: Demonstrate the skills and recognize the benefits of working collaboratively Moreover, this experience helped me develop my collaboration skills and communication skills. Everyone in the team had different opinions and it was hard to agree on one. Working as a team definitely made me more open-minded and considerate of everyone’s ideas. The only way to agree on one single decision was to communicate which helped me become more confident and share my ideas with the team as well. The process as a whole helped me understand the importance of working together to make an event a huge success.

All in all, this experience helped me develop several skills, deal with the problems that come along and plan and initiate different activities.
