This was an activity related to the subject of business management and economics. Where the students had to reflect on the learnt concepts and apply them in real life. The main concepts, the event focused on were Globalisation, Innovation, Price discrimination, and Ethics.
This was an event, where students sold different services and products, and some of the profit from the stalls were donated to the non governmental organization.
LO 1: We showcased Learning outcome 1, identifying own strengths and developing areas of growth. In a group, we first identified our strengths and weaknesses and divided the roles as per that, so that we will be excelling at our plus points and also be improving/ working on our weaknesses at the same time.
LO5: We demonstrated collaborative skills while working together as part of the group, at the same time, we learnt new skills like self management, time management and research skills. Because we collaborated together and researched about the target audience at the same time, we in a given period of time, learnt how to organize time and tasks hand in hand.
The strengths showcased in the event was making products, moreover, influencing people to buy them. The weakness which influenced the activity was keeping the data (number of goods sold, the amount of money gained.) because of the less amount of people working in our group.
At the end, we learnt a lot of new things, how do real organizations work (at a small scale), the concept of price discrimination where the customers tend to bargain and/or negotiate selling prices at different ranges with the seller of the goods sold, we also had a sense of success because of various things learnt and achieved from that event.
