Everyone in the world nowadays is very concerned about their lifestyle and health. My mother advised me to start working out in the gym since it would benefit me in the long run. CAS was the perfect opportunity and the motivation to do so.Â
LO 1: Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth
I started figuring out my strengths and shortcomings when I first started going to the gym. I realised that while I had good agility and flexibility, my strength and endurance needed improvement. Knowing where I was weak made me want to focus my efforts on strengthening those areas. I began to see small changes over time, which will enable me to maintain my health.Â
LO 2: Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, and develop new skills in the process
Balancing schoolwork and exercise at first proved to be really difficult for me. To keep a balance, I had to figure out how to combine the two. To do this, I set up a schedule for myself and structured my tasks. My organisational and time management skills have both improved as a result of this. These abilities are incredibly beneficial and are required to keep one’s life in balance. Gaining these abilities has benefited me in a number of ways and increased my productivity.Â
LO 4: Show commitment to and perseverance in CAS experiences
A lot of discipline was needed for this experience. I never gave much thought to my health until recently, when I realised how important it is to keep good well-being. In order to notice improvements in my fitness levels, I had to remain committed to the practice. That was challenging and it requires considerable time. There were times when I did not feel like exercising, but I still persisted. This helped me realise that staying dedicated and persistent will result in the outcomes we were hoping for.Â
Finally, I can say that this experience helped me become more disciplined, helped me become more physically fit, helped me identify my areas of weakness, helped me learn unique skills, and ultimately helped me comprehend the results of being committed and persistent.
