Internship

During my internship at an diamond jewelry factory, i learned about how jewelry is manufactured from scratch to the final product and how the corporate culture works. This internship gave an overview of the whole process and how the machinery’s and other equipment work. after completing the internship i was told to explain the whole procedure to the senior and present them through this they would mark my mistakes if somethings were missing or any additional thing.

LO’S:

LO1 – Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth.

At the start my internship I was not aware of many things after some time one the senior approach me and told me that i was very good at communicating and asking questions with workers who were teaching me how the things works through this i identified one of my strengths.

LO2 – Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills

During my internship, i had the opportunity to learn the intricate art of jewelry design and crafting. I initially faced challenges in understanding the design process and techniques but gradually developed proficiency. I had difficulty in how the process has been done , such as diamond setting in the rings, bracelets and many more. Sometimes i was told to inspect the rings or something and identify the imperfections or ensuring the accuracy of gemstone or diamond placement or meeting the strict quality check. Highlight how my attention to detail improved over time and how you contributed to maintaining the high quality of the jewelry.

LO3 – Initiate and plan a CAS experience.

To plan the internship i had to take approval from the company to let me learn basic things in the factory. With my mentors or internship managers at the diamond jewelry factory, go through my CAS plans. They may offer perceptions into the company’s principles, procedures, and places in which my CAS project might fit with their objectives. i also had some specific goals during my internship that i had to complete in a given time.

LO4 – Show perseverance and commitment in CAS experience.

i Demonstrated a strong work ethic by consistently arriving on time, being reliable, and putting in my best effort. Be willing to take on challenging tasks and see them through to completion. In a dynamic industry like diamond jewelry, to be prepared to adapt to changing situations and tasks. The ability to learn quickly and adjust to new challenges. Precision is crucial in the diamond jewelry industry. Showing my commitment by paying careful attention to detail in all aspects of their work, from diamond quality assessment to jewelry craftsmanship.i was open to constructive feedback and use it as an opportunity for personal growth and development. Continuously strive to improve my skills and knowledge.

LO7 – Recognize and consider the ethics of choices and actions.

I Payed attention to the treatment of workers in the factory. Ensure that they are treated fairly, paid reasonable wages, and provided with safe working conditions. If i had observe any unethical labor practices, consider reporting them to the appropriate authorities or raising concerns with your superiors. The diamond industry can have environmental consequences, particularly in mining and processing. Consider the factory’s environmental practices and suggest ways to minimize environmental harm, such as implementing recycling programs or using sustainable materials in jewelry production.
