Planning and organising a student-led, teacher-monitored club for final year senior school students is a rewarding and valuable endeavour that can contribute to the personal and academic growth of the participants. I stand the position of a vice-president and am responsible for the below mentioned roles :
- Content creation
- Prior session query solving
- Content delivering
- Post session query solving
Below are the LO’s that will be addressed as an outcome of the experience :
LO2 – [ Demonstrate the challenges that have been undertaken, developing new skills in the process ]
I develop utmost management skills to manage the participants and their attendance. Moreover, I even polish my communication skills as I deliver the content to these participants. Lastly, I develop my research skills as I research deliverable content for the enthusiastic learners.
LO3 – [ Demonstrate how to initiate and plan a CAS experience ]
We as a pair are responsible to gather learners to deliver the content to those students too. The club is a teacher-supervised club. We as a team are responsible for utmost smooth learning and presentation that is to be reported to the supervisor with evidence. The planning of the content takes more time than to deliver the same.
LO4 – [ Show commitment to and perseverance in CAS experiences ]
My role as the Vice-President of the Data Structure and Algorithm Club will revolve around fostering commitment and perseverance in our CAS experience. Through consistent meetings, educational activities, and a growth-oriented mindset, I will lead by example, inspiring our members to embrace challenges, persist in their learning journey, and ultimately achieve academic growth.
