Making Un-Privileged Kids Study

Recently I had been to an public school ran by an local NGO , where children of nearly 1-3 grade were taught numeracy and literacy skills .Hence in order to help the kids further me any my two peers ( Dhruv , Manan) went to the organization led school in order to teach the children .In Mathematics I taught them basic numeracy such as Addition, Subtraction which is the basic start for any kind of questions .Moreover in Literacy I taught them framing of words from illustration (photos) and asked them to write sentences which helped the kids think beyond and write an varied choice of words .

LO 1 and LO 2 : the experience involved interacting with children and explaining them concepts ,yet I knew I was good at explaining the concepts but the thing I was new with , was interacting with them in an language they are familiar which I learned throughout the process and basically the skill of patience was a must while teaching , as some instances comes when the kids are dis-obedient and doesn’t want to study there the skill plays an important role when I need to be patient and explain them the importance of studies which I developed after the experience .

LO 3: The initiation of the plan was made by me and my fellow friends where we organized the whole structure and the plan of conduct, where we talked with (Mr.Nakul Rathi) who was a part of the NGO . Where I managed the time and the duration we have to spend on teaching , and the division of time we have to give to an subject .

LO 4: The experience was quite long which was for a duration of 4 weeks , where commitment was one of the key aspect we need to admire in order to teach the kids with proper dignity and truth .I personally often came across certain thoughts when I was not in an position of continuing the plan , but having some Courage and additional efforts I showcased commitment and stood strong because some kids were resilient and din’t wanted to study which kind of reduced our stamina for some duration but slow and steadily I found out solutions to tackle the issues .

LO 5: The benefits I gained throughout the CAS experience was collaboration skills as I and my teammates(Dhruv ,Manan ) coordinated and discussed about the topics we have to cover for each day we visit the school .We though my peers helped me while dealing with social interaction we made at the place .The challenges were that some times we had clash of ideas regarding the conduct which we overcame with time .

LO 6:Quality education which is one of the objectives of 2030 agenda known as SGD goals , one of those is quality education which needs to be eradicate from the world or else the future generation would need to suffer hence considering the above mentioned reasoning and the importance of quality education I initiated in this plan.

LO 7: The ethics of choice and action was one of the key aspect I always looked up for as teaching unprivileged doesn’t means that we have freedom to exploit the educational norms .Hence teaching with dignity was the key aspect I always kept in the mind and teaching them in an proper manner which makes them competitive in future .
