Global Odyssey

As part of my Creativity, Activity, and Service (CAS) program, I participated in organizing the Global Odyssey event at our school. The event was organized to celebrate cultural diversity and to showcase the traditions and practices of our school community.

LO 1: During the planning phase, I collaborated with a team of students and teachers to organize food and games. I worked with my two other friends to set up a food stall that sold French toast and chocolate fondue. I also marketed our stall to attract visitors and ensured that our stall was fully stocked with supplies.

LO 2: As a member of the organizing team, I demonstrated my organizational skills by coordinating the participation of my friends/band who performed for the visitors, including teachers, grades 7, 8, and 9 students. I communicated effectively with my friends to ensure that we had a well-coordinated performance that would entertain the audience.

LO 3: During the event, I demonstrated my commitment to service by ensuring that our food stall was clean and hygienic. I also provided excellent customer service to visitors, answering their questions and ensuring that they were satisfied with their orders.

LO 4: Through my participation in the event, I developed my creativity skills by exploring new food recipes and presentation styles. I also used my creativity skills to come up with ways to attract visitors to our food stall and make our performance memorable.

LO 5: The event provided me with an opportunity to develop my social skills. I interacted with visitors from different grades and cultures, learning about their perspectives and experiences. I also worked collaboratively with my friends to ensure that our performance and food stall were a success.

LO 6: Overall, my participation in the Global Odyssey event allowed me to develop my personal and interpersonal skills while contributing to the school community. I gained a deeper appreciation for cultural diversity and learned how to organize a successful event. The event was a hit, and I felt proud of the contribution that I made to its success.

Through this experience, I developed my organizational skills, teamwork, and communication skills. I also learned about the importance of cultural diversity and how it can be celebrated through events like Global Odyssey. Overall, this was a valuable experience that allowed me to contribute to my school community while developing my personal skills.
