This experience was very peaceful, we cleaned the beach early in the morning on a Sunday and we cleaned the beach in teams. Cleaning beaches is an act toward nature, we did it for only one weekend but we did not leave a single spot dirty, we had volunteers from all over Surat and from different communities. It was a relaxing yet fun experience, I got to learn a lot of things along this as well.

LO6 – Engagement with issues of global significance

Pollution is a global issue and to solve this I engaged and volunteered to clean the beach, I got the opportunity to help clean Dumas beach with my friends and I did it, it made me realize how unfair we are towards nature and how are we mistreating it, cleaning the beach was an act that made me realize that we should be more kind towards nature and stop polluting the beaches.

My goal was to get the beach cleaned, in the process of I learned the importance of cleanliness and nature, this helped me understanding how to treat nature and what are the things that we should avoid in order to keep our city clean.
